NORTHENDEN SILVER BAND

Players Wanted

If you play a Brass Band instrument and are without a Band then we need you.

We are a non contesting band looking for new players to join us in a freindly relaxed atmosphere.

Northenden Silver Band meet for rehearsals at 8:00 pm on Monday evenings at the British Legion on Royle Green Road in Northenden, Manchester.Map

UPDATE SEPTEMBER 2008

The new British Legion building is under construction so unfortunately until it is finished we have no rehearsal room. Please click HERE to introduce yourself and we will keep you informed as to the current situation. Hopefully we will back to business as usual very soon.

Although the Band has been around for many years, successfully taking part in many contests, these days we suit the player who wants a more relaxed informal atmosphere to play in.

We meet every Monday night except for Bank Holidays and occasional times when numbers are low due to annual holidays.

A pleasant couple of hours are spent playing some old favourites and practicing some more difficult pieces, nothing too demanding. Throughout the year we usually perform in public 3 or 4 times.

We are always looking for new members of all abilities, all are made very welcome. We have some instruments available for loan.

If you can play an instrument and are looking for a Brass Band to play with, or perhaps you haven't played for a number of years and are a bit out of practice come along and join in, we will be very pleased to accommodate you. We have vacancies for most instruments, but all players are welcome.
